New Hope Student
Ministry Mission Statement
NEW HOPE
STUDENT
MINISTRY
Give the Gospel to Every Student
God commands us all to share our faith with
others. Our goal at New Hope is to reach
every student in Woodford and Anderson
County with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
While we cannot control who accepts and
rejects the gospel, we can control who we
share it with. Every student should hear the
gospel and have an opportunity to respond.
Teach How to Spiritually Mature
While we want every student to hear the
gospel of Jesus Christ, we know that not all
will respond. There are, however, dedicated
students who desire to grow in their faith.
These students deserve an education in how
to grow in Christ. Our goal at New Hope is
to provide programs, events, and examples
that assist these students in their spiritual
growth.
Train Them to Disciple Others
The Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20)
commands believers to make disciples.
Students would be lacking spiritually if they
neglected this command.
As students
spiritually mature, they should be sharing
their faith with other students. Also, they
should learn how to help others grow in
their faith. Our goal at New Hope is to train
“reproducing reproducers.” Students can
reach out to their friends and help them in
their Christian walk.
“Oh God, You are my God,
earnestly I seek You;
my soul thirsts for You,
my body longs for You,
in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.”
– Psalms 63:1
New Hope Student Ministry
exists to present the gospel to every
student, teach dedicated students
how to spiritually mature, and
train them to reach out and
disciple others.

God’s Will for Every Student
God loves you and created you for a
purpose, to have a relationship with
Him (Ephesians 5:18-19)
Everyone has sinned, failed to live up
to God’s perfect purpose for his or
her life (Romans 2:23)
Because we are imperfect and God is
perfect and just, He has no choice but
to punish us by death (Romans 6:23a)
Because of God’s great love for you,
He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die
in your place (Romans 5:8)
All you have to do in order to be
forgiven for your sins is confess that
Jesus is Lord and believe it in your
heart (Romans 10:9)
Dear Heavenly Father, I know that I
am imperfect and that I fall short of
Your perfect plan for my life. Thank
You for sending Your Son to take the
punishment of my sins. I accept Him
fully as the Lord of my life and am
ready to live my life according to
Your perfect plan for me. I love
You, Lord. Amen
