On the fly capture
MediaBaron provides an easy way to capture and ingest video data from all sources – analog and/or digital tapes,
and a range of digital file formats. Other than analog tapes all other capture will be done using standard PC
equipment. Capture tape contents by simply connecting your camera to a PC. You can also capture data in offline
mode and then transfer the same to main database whenever you go online. All your field staff can capture on their
laptops, do a rough cut and upload just the pieces they think are relevant saving you time and network bandwidth.
Online metatagging, logging and clip generation
MediaBaron allows meta-tagging, tape logging, creation of clip library, and facilitates easy search and browsing of
the central library using any normal LAN and/or PC infrastructure. You generate the clips based on what you believe
you are most likely to need on a later date. Each clip can be individually tagged with keywords so that when
required, you can find all the clips that you need from all the tapes in the library. A drag-n-drop selection panel
allows you to quickly select a set of clips, play them in sequence, change the sequence, export them to other
stations, finalize/conform and have a new story ready for the editing stations.
Tapeless production workflow
MediaBaron supports a tape-less production workflow by letting NLE stations access the media store from within
the NLE environments. MediaBaron supports export to standard formats so that you can leverage your clip libraries
for trading your assets. Your partners and customers can select the clips they want, trade using ecommerce engines
and the high-resolution clips will be electronically delivered to them using existing FTP infrastructure with no
hand-on involvement from your side.
Program and resources management
MediaBaron includes a fully featured program management and control module that lets producers streamline
their processes and control their timelines and budgets. You can easily track which NLE machines are available to be
