Event of the month Corvus Aircraft Ltd announced the completion of its 1000 sq. meter production facility in Balloszog. The Grand Opening of the plant has been celebrated on the 18th of November. The Corvus Corone aircraft received a National Award in the design category on 17th of October. The aircraft is a full composite two-seater, equipped with a 120 hp engine, with a range of 1000 km. The new facility allows the company to manufacture 2 aircraft per month starting from next year. More info: www.corvus-aircraft.com :. Industry Events in November Aerosolutions Expo Nov 8/9 Bordeaux France ITD Hungary, HAIF and three Hungarian companies represented the Aerospace sector in Bordeaux at the Aerosolutions Expo where aircraft and engine manufacturers met their suppliers. This year about 300 companies represented the Aerospace Industry of Europe in Bordeaux. During this two day event the Hungarian delegation met the major French and Italian Aerospace contractors in a pre-planned 40 minutes meetings and presented their capabilities to them. The Expo also provided good opportunity for HAIF to start to establish relationship with the UK Aerospace industry representatives: Northwest Aerospace Alliance, West of England Aerospace Forum, and Airbus UK. On the 9th HAIF, ITD Hungary and Advanced Engineering Ltd. held presentations about the Hungarian Aerospace Industry, the Hungarian investment environment, and engineering services provided by Advanced Engineering Ltd. based in the Hungarian town Győr. HASI Program – Rolls–Royce visit to Hungary By the invitation of HAIF, Rolls-Royce Supply Chain Development Manager visited four Hungarian Aerospace companies on the 29/30th of November. Elektro-Metall in Paks, Flamespray in Gödöllő, Hungaerotech in Debrecen and Produktum in Budapest were the first four companies that attracted RR attention. During the spring of 2006 more Hungarian companies may be visited by the second largest Aero-engine manufacturer, to explore further the capabilities of the Hungarian Aerospace sector. :. Upcoming Event HAIF chairman, Mr. Mihály Hideg has been invited by the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry for a conference with a title: “The strategic choice of the industrial outsourcing in enlarged Europe.
