Selected by the editors of New Hampshire Magazine as the “Best Community Running
Event of 2010”, the fourteenth annual Rock ‘N Race sponsored by Merrimack County
Savings Bank is a 5K (3.1 mile) race open to teams, individual runners and walkers. It is the
largest sanctioned 5K event in New England. Individuals, groups, and companies of all sizes
are encouraged to form a team (minimum 10 team members) and enjoy the festivities while
helping a great cause.
Proceeds from the race will support Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care.
Everything you need to get started is included in this information packet. If you are interested
in entering the race, but are not part of a team, please call 225-2711 ext-3076 to request an
individual entry form or register online and save $6 at www.rocknrace.org. See you at the

RACE-NIGHT FEATURES
 LIVE music along the race route and at the State House lawn.
 Complimentary refreshments served along the race route provided by great area
restaurants. Dinner served to registered participants following the race on the State
House lawn.
 Form a team of ten or more by April 15 and you are eligible to have your team name
printed on the back of your t-shirts.
 Great prizes and giveaways.
BENEFITS OF BECOMING A TEAM CAPTAIN
You recruit your team members. Because you have created a team, you are bringing
additional people to the fight against cancer. You are recruiting new team members, who are
asking friends and family to support their fundraising efforts and, because of this, the circle is
expanding!
BENEFITS OF FORMING A TEAM
Teams who raise $3,000 or more are designated “ROCK STARS”. Their colored t-shirts
will feature a special Rock Star logo and they will be acknowledged at the Captains Breakfast.
It’s more fun to raise funds with friends (old and new). Team fundraising events can be a
good time! There are more of you to get the word out that the fundraising party is occurring.
People need people. Your teammates can inspire you and help you stay committed to
working hard to raise funds.
SUPERSTARS!!!
 The race committee is asking team captains to encourage team members to become
Superstars. Help keep our registration fees low by contributing an additional $50 to
the Payson Center for Cancer Care. We will reward you with a unique bonus gift
and you will be distinguished as a Superstar on your running bib. More
importantly, you will be doing even more to help those whose lives have been
touched by cancer. Become a Superstar and together we will rock the cancer world!
ENTRY FEES AND DEADLINES
 The entry fee for online registration is $29 per person, $35 per person for paper
registration, $12 for children 14 & under. Late registration fee (after May 2) is
$35 for adults. Please make checks payable to Concord Hospital.
 Completed registration forms and full payment must be received by April 15, 2016 in
order to receive the team t-shirts.
 A team is 10 or more walkers and/or runners. Any team submitted with less than
10 members will not receive customized team t-shirts.
 Individuals registering with a team after April 15 will not be eligible for the
customized team t-shirts.
 Participants raising—
 $150-$499 will receive their choice of gym bag or long sleeved
wicking shirt.
 $500 - $999 will receive their choice of a fleece vest or a hooded
sweatshirt
 $1000 and above will have the opportunity to receive a Tribute Brick,
which will be placed in the Tribute Courtyard outside the Concord
Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care.
Teams raising—
 $3,000 and above will be recognized as Rock Stars. A special screen
will be printed on the colored t-shirt of these individuals that will make
them easily recognizable as top fundraisers.
Note: All sponsorships must be turned in by race day, May 19, 2016 in order to qualify for
awards. Entry fee does not count toward Fund-raising total.
TEAM CAPTAIN’S RESPONSIBILITY
As Team Captain, it is your responsibility to organize and manage your team.
 Pick-up your team’s t-shirts, pins, and bibs at Bektash Temple, 189 Pembroke Road,
on Wednesday, May 18 from 11 am – 7 pm.
CREATE A FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN USING SOCIAL MEDIA
It’s easy to find support within your circle of friends and family. Remember you are not just
asking for money. You are giving them an opportunity to be a part of this great event and to
make a difference in the community.
Set up your personal fundraising page at www.rocknrace.org . Getting started is easy. It only
takes a few minutes to create your own personal fundraising page and you can customize the
text and the photo that appears on the page to suit your passions and your purpose. Set a
fundraising target then e-mail your page link to family, friends and colleagues or post it on
your facebook page. You can easily ask large numbers of people, even acquaintances to
contribute. Contributors have the option to support you anonymously if they so chose.
Personal fundraising pages are passionate, powerful, and persuasive, and you will raise more
money with less effort.
The #1 fundraising tip is…ASK! So simple, but so easily overlooked. If you don’t ask for a
donation, you won’t get one. Just ask!

FOR YOUR FUN AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS
This event has grown each year. We anticipate more than 6500 participants at the 2016
Merrimack County Savings Bank Rock ‘N Race. We are excited that so many have joined us
for this fun family event. We want to be sure that all who participate are safe, therefore- no bikes
 no roller blades
 no skateboards
 no headphones
 no pets
 Individuals pushing strollers must register as walkers and line up
with the walkers on Capitol Street. Individuals pushing strollers
are prohibited from running in this event. Failure to comply will
result in disqualification.
