MORE MUTUAL INTEREST
From Sr. Gemma - As 2013 begins, I ask God to bless in a special way each and every one of our parishioners.
Who knows what the New Year holds. Since it is held by our loving God we know “all will be well”. Thanks to all
of you who remembered me with gifts, cards and best wishes this Christmas Season and for my birthday. Often
people say it must be hard having a birthday on the 24th. Actually it’s kind of fun.
Lovingly, Sr. Gemma
CASA - CASA of Ottawa County is accepting volunteers for Court Appointed Special Advocates for children in Ottawa
County's foster care system. These volunteers represent the best interests of these children when dealing with legal
proceedings. Contact Connie Cornett, director at 419-301-0225 and mention you saw this in the Our Lady of Lourdes/St.
Boniface bulletin.
DONATIONS - My name is Nicholas LaRue with Troop 131. I will be working on my Eagle Scout Project. My project is
moving the “Food Pantry” at Trinity United Methodist Church to the Christian Community Church of Genoa. Donations are
needed to help with the move of the pantry. I will use the money to buy paint, shelves, supplies, etc. The project will be
starting on December 27. The first step will be cleaning the rooms and getting
Attendance
ready toatpaint.

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS - Can be a good way to get
motivated for the upcoming year. Getting more familiar with
scripture is a great way to make your year more fruitful. An easy
way to do that is to go to www.Catholicbrotherhood.com and go to the link at the bottom of the page, Daily scripture. Here
you will be able to read the daily readings for the Mass. What a great way to start your day and to grow your faith throughout
the year.

Notes from Fr. David: When do you remember having a "A Hah" or Epiphany moment? As we
celebrate the Solemnity of the Epiphany we hear of the Three Kings and their travels to meet the Christ-Child.
King Herod also wanted to meet him, but for other more sinister reasons. As the Kings were about to depart,
they had a dream that led them away from Herod and protected the "Baby Jesus". May this Epiphany lead you
to discover whatever it is that you ask God to reveal to you and know that you are Blessed for the Journey. Any
Junior or Senior boys who are interested in attending the next TEC "Teens Encounter Christ" weekend January
12-14th please contact me or Chad Edwards. Chad, along with Brian Greggila will be part of the team for this
TEC. Ladies... the girls TEC'S are coming up...we'll let you know more later. God Bless, Fr. David
