COMING IN 2017 SYDNEY TENNIS LEAGUE CENTRAL SOUTH WEST WEST NORTH WEST CENTRAL NORTH SOUTH WEST SOUTH SOUTH The Sydney Tennis League provides an opportunity for players from ANZ Tennis Hot Shots level through to professional athletes to engage in regular tennis competition against their peers in Metro Sydney. A tiered structure will ensure Associations, Clubs and Centres remain the central providers and drivers of competition tennis through five primary Metro regions – North, South, Central, South West and West. SUPER LEAGUES (Tier 1) JUNIOR SUPER Super Leagues (Tier 1) – Super League is open to any club with the aim of being the best team in Sydney. Clubs can enter via Match Centre and must have completed a sign up form for the Sydney Tennis League. Junior Super Leagues (14/U, 12/U and 10/U) players will be invited and drafted into one of the six junior teams below. LEAGUES REPRESENTATIVE LEAGUE (Tier 2) DISTRICT LEAGUES (Tier 3) Representative League (Tier 2) – Clubs can participate in their respective metro region (5) and clubs can enter via Match Centre. Players can participate in open divisions or 14/U, 12/U and 10/U leagues. District League (Tier 3) – Any Association, club and/or centre can host a Tier 3 league and be part of the STL structure and national rating system. These are localised leagues for all ages and abilities and players can find participating leagues on our website. Want to Join the STL for Term 1? Clubs can enter teams via the Tennis NSW website and players can contact their local club or visit our website to find a local club. Key Dates for Term 1 2017 JUNIOR SUPER LEAGUE OPEN AND & JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVE LEAGUE 11th November 2016: Players will be selected by invitation only and notified 12th December 2016: Club entries close 10th / 11th February: Season starts for six weeks 17th /18th March: 12th February: Season starts for six weeks 19th March: Season ends Players please contact your local club to sign up to the STL in 2017! Season ends Ready to play Sign your club up to the STL by November 10th 2016 and TNSW will provide your club with a FREE box of Balls. If your club enters two or more teams in the Representative League, Tennis NSW will provide you with a free logo (if required). Ready to Enter Term 1 Junior Super League COST is $130 per player Term 1 Representative League COST $60 per team Representative League entry - Clubs should email [email protected] with an indication of which age groups they will be entering teams in. - Players should contact their local STL club to enquire about joining a team. Want your players to have a national rating? Tennis Australia is releasing a national rating and this is a chance for your club to run a national rating based league and for your players to earn a national rating.
