Every school should start their year off with this show!

MISSION OF OUR PROGRAMS
The mission of Winceyco’s programs and
products are to teach and empower children
and adults through the arts integration. We
have seen the power of the school-wide
assembly coupled with systematic support,
professional development training, artist-inresidence programs, parent workshops and
community education offerings transform the
culture of the schools and neighborhoods. The
student, teachers, and their communities learn
how to build school culture, embrace cultural
heritage, and demonstrate compassion. And
it’s all done through music.
“Every school
should start their
year off with this
show!”

Staff In-Service Opportunities
Winceyco has found that informed and skilled
teachers who are equipped with concrete
strategies and research-based best practices are
truly the first line of defense in setting a school
culture that is centered on RESPECT.
We have found that a professional
development plan that includes administration
and the full staff allows all stakeholders to
share beliefs and concerns with the goal of
developing a systematic response to
strengthening a school culture, free from anger
and bullying behaviors.

Studies have shown that bullying has become
a nationwide epidemic, sometimes making
teaching of secondary importance in the daily
school community. This Winceyco workshop
will pass along useful tips for identifying the
bully, empowering the victim, and promoting
a safe school environment.
Parent Workshop
Every parent wants to make sure his or
her child is safe. Education is the key to
strengthening the partnership between
school and family. Winceyco’s Parent
Workshop clearly defines how parents
can support their children in the face of
bullying. Dramatic roleplay on topics
such as safety tips and effective
communication help parents learn the
importance of developing a strong relationship
with the school so they are adequately prepared
in the event of a bullying incident.

School-wide Assembly
The mission of the school-wide assembly is
to provide the student, teachers, and their
communities with experiential learning that
demonstrates what is possible when bullying
is replaced with compassion, love, and
sensitivity. The full expression of individuality is honored as we
discover similarities and celebrate diversity.
Artist Mentors-in-Residence
Mentors-in-residence have learned
that school culture changes over time
when all stakeholders are included in
critical ongoing dialogue. This
quarterly model allows mentors to
build relationships and empowers
victims to stand tall against bullies,
while encouraging the bully to
examine his or her own behavior.
