1 DECEMBER 10:30–12:30 Delegates Dining Room, UNHQ (4th Floor) The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) is pleased to host the fourth Annual Global Humanitarian Policy Forum, where we will launch the study: LEAVING NO ONE BEHIND: HUMANITARIAN EFFECTIVENESS IN THE AGE OF THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS OCHA will launch its policy study on humanitarian effectiveness, concluded at a time of unique opportunities to reduce vulnerability to crisis and better reach those in fragile and conflict-affected environments, particularly in light of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other global change agendas. In the face of diverse contexts, a comprehensive panel will discuss the five policy shifts outlined in the study: reinforce rather than replace existing capacities; collaborate to reduce and end humanitarian need; leverage comparative advantage through connectivity and leadership; 360 degrees of risk and needs analysis; and measure shared results for collective accountability.
