Cigna Round The Bays 2015
What Is It All About?
Cigna Round the Bays – Wellington
6.5km Fun Run/Walk, Snapper 10km, Cigna Achilles Half Marathon and 6.5km Buggy Walk
Sunday 22 February 2015
Come join in the buzz of Wellington’s biggest fun run on Sunday 22 February 2015.
Cigna Round the Bays, organised by Sport Wellington, is the region’s largest and most popular running and
walking event. The event includes a 6.5km fun run/walk, the Snapper 10km, Cigna Achilles Half Marathon
and, new to 2015, the 6.5km Buggy Walk. All distances take advantage of Wellington’s beautiful inner harbour
bays before converging on Kilbirnie Park for live entertainment, food, prize giving, spot prizes and a great
atmosphere for the whole family.
The 2014 event once again set a Wellington fun run record with over 14,000 participants, selling out the event
for the third consecutive year. So no matter if you are an experienced runner targeting a new personal best in
the half marathon, taking the step up to tackle the 10km or you just want to walk the 6.5km with a group of
friends, don’t miss your opportunity to be part of this iconic Wellington event.

a bit of friendly competition between our registered teams, every year the Round the Bays Team Cup is up for

teams of 20 up to large teams of 500+. Call (04) 380 2070 ext 264 or email [email protected] to

Secure yourself a spot in our BBQ area. This is a great way to cater for your team after the run/walk. This is an
uncovered area where you can set up a classic kiwi BBQ and feed your crew. You can also deck your area out
with tables, chairs, chilly bins, umbrellas and so forth. Hiremaster will gladly deliver all your needs to your site

Massage Service at Marquee Sites
Do your staff a favour and book them their own personal masseuse, to be based at your marquee site,
courtesy of Kneading Therapy Massage. The purpose of a massage after a sporting event is to aid the athlete
to recover from the activity. Some of the benefits include a shorter recovery time after an event and a
decrease in delayed onset of muscle soreness (tension and stiffness), enhancing blood flow to tight muscles

Tips for Team Fundraising
Sending people to your own fundraising page will make it even simpler for them to donate to your team. You
can easily set up a fundraising page through the Give a Little website. Add a link to your team’s page in your
email signature or spread it via Facebook.
Get every team member motivated to lead the team in fundraising as well as on the run by setting up
individual fundraising pages for each team member. This is just as easy as making a team page and each
member’s page can be linked to their team. Fundraising pages can be personalised with blog posts, including
photos and videos, showing you making a difference.
Working Out For Free With Les Mills

any nerves.
Spread the word amongst your team members and if you or any of your team are interested in this offer tick
"YES" when you are completing your online entry form and one of the team from Les Mills will be in contact.
Connect With Us Through Social Media

Almost all of our event updates, promotions, spot prizes and competitions are run through our social media.
By getting your team to connect directly with us you are eliminating the need for you to keep forwarding on
information to them, and they won’t miss out on prizes, special offers or essential event info.
However we do still suggest that you forward on any e-newsletters you receive from us, as these will
summarise key information as we get closer to event day.
