2017 Men's League Structure League Format - First 10 Weeks (May 17 - July 19) Each team must consist of no less than 4 players and a maximum of 8 players. Each team must field 4 players weekly for two matches of partners match play. If you field only 3 players, 1 player will play by himself. If you field 2 players, they will each play by themselves. 18 hole Golf Canada handicaps are used. There are 18 points to be won per match. Each point is worth $2. Holes are carried over through the match until a team wins and then they pick up all carry overs. If the last hole or more is carried over, both teams will split the point and get 0.5 points for each carried over hole. Play 18 holes each Wednesday - PLAY ALL 18! Your team earns points for every hole won. Team standings are determined on total points won over 10 weeks of league play. After 10 weeks, league will be diveded into 2 divisions; top half of standings and bottom half of standings. There will be one week off league (July 26 - Stampede Break) to restructure divisions. League Format - Last 5 Weeks (August 2 - August 30) The final 5 weeks of league, you will only play teams in your division. You won't play every team. The structure will be the same as above, only we plan on paying out at least $3 per point. With carried over cash, 50/50 money and potential sponsorship money, this will be used to generate higher payouts. Sponsorships It is our intention to secure sponsorships for $250/each. These sponsorships will in turn help fund the deuce pots, nightly meals and final 5 weeks of league play. Sponsors will be acknowledged on a sponsorship board and company logos identified on the new website for league. We understand it is difficult to get a sponsor for every team, but it is our goal. If you have the ability to sponsor, please contact Glenn Racz as soon as possible to make arrangements. League Website Men's League will be tracked online with weekly updates, sponsorship logos, team members, and league schedule. All team captains are respsonsible for following the league on the website and relaying information to their teammates. All updates will be automatically emailed to every person who signs up for email messaging. League Cost (Based on 16 Teams) Non-Member League Membership - $375.00 tax included (Includes 15 weeks of league) Cart rental will be $150/seat tax included (Includes 15 weeks of league) ALL TEAMS - $600/team (4-8 player teams) - Rosters must be submitted along with payment ($40/week allotted to payout) Payouts 4320 Points = $8,640 for payout 16 teams = 16 matches (2 per team) x 18 holes x 15 weeks x $2/point = $9,600 for payout 16 teams x $600/team = $960 Remaining Remaining Cash to be carried over to the final 5 weeks of league Additional money generated from 50/50 = TBD Additional money carried over from sponsorship money = TBD NOTE: After using $960 carried over cash, an additional $480 required to make each point worth $3 in last 5 weeks. With good turnout for 50/50 and sponsorship, we could be playing for some good cash towards the end.
