Competition Two Information
Team Nominations Close – Monday 3rd April 2017
What does it cost to nominate your team?
The team nomination fee of $30.00 must be paid when nominating
the team.
How to nominate your team:

Returning teams from the current competition can nominate
online or by returning the attached form to NSBA.

New teams must complete the attached form and return by
email, or dropping it off at the stadium – Level 5, 36 Hume
Street.
Where are games played?
We play games at
 North Sydney Indoor Sports Centre (36 Hume Street,
Crow’s Nest)
 Marie Bashir Mosman Sports Centre (1A Cross
Street Mosman)
 St Michaels Catholic Primary School (181-187
Longueville Road)
Please note we mainly designate 10’s, U12’s and U13’s to the
external venues.
When does the competition start?
Games commence on Saturday 29th April, the competition goes for
12 rounds, finishing on 12th August.
U10’s will play on the 19th and receive a participation medallion, the
Top 4 teams in each U12 and U13 division participate in a Gala
Finals Day which will be held on 19th August.
COMPETITION GAME FEES (all prices GST inclusive)
All teams’ games fees must be paid in advance by Monday 15th May.
Unfortunately, our online payment system is unable to process part
payments, so the entire fee must be paid by one person. If teams
want individual team members to pay separate amounts this must
be done over the counter.

Gala Day is free to all teams playing.
Individual Registration Fees
Each individual in the team must be registered with Northern Suburbs
Basketball Association in affiliation with BNSW, this can be done through
the NSBA website or over the counter. Registration is for 12 months.

Miniball Competition Format
Scheduling of Games
The following is a general guide for the scheduling of games for each
age group. The number of teams accepted into the competition will
determine the venue for each division.

U10’s – from 12.30pm
U12’s – from 12.30pm
U13’s – from 3.00pm - NSISC
Age Divisions



U10’s (must not turn 10 during calendar year 2017)
U12’s (must not turn 12 during calendar year 2017)
U13’s (must not turn 13 during calendar year 2017)
Gender Specific Age Divisions –

U10’s and U12’s will have all female divisions, all male
divisions. Mixed teams if a mixed team is entered they will be
placed in a male division.

U13’s are all female and all male divisions, no mixed.

Players must be registered with NSBA and must provide photo
Id when requested by staff. E.g. Passport or birth certificate.
All players must comply with the NSBA By-laws and
Competition Rules.
Team grading is the sole responsibility of NSBA.
NSBA retains the right not to accept any nomination.
Children can only play for one team per age division; however a child
can play in more than one age group.
