Holiday homework of class -3rd 2017-18
Dear Kids,
The much awaited holidays are here yet again and it’s time to play and have fun. We have planned some
fun activities to make optimum use of your energy so that you can continue learning during the holiday
break as well.
Some tips for students:
1. Drink plenty of water, juices and others liquids to prevent dehydration.
2. Play Indoor and outdoor games.
3. Avoid going in direct sunlight.
English Reader: Learn and write difficult words and words meaning from Unit- 1, 2, 3.
 Find common noun & proper noun from Unit -1, 2, 3. Write them and frame sentences
from any 20 words.
 Pick and write one word daily from the newspaper and frame sentence on it.
Grammar:  Learn full syllabus till done in the class.
 Learn Lesson- 1, 2, 3,4,16,17,18,19.
 Write a paragraph on the given topics. “My Mother “and “Rainy season”.
 Where you visited in summer vacation describe your experience in 60-70 words.
 Prepare the given charts according to Roll No. series. Charts must be prepared on A4
sheet or half chart.
Roll No- 1 to 11
Make a chart on ‘Good Morning’ Unit- 1, Lesson – 1.
Roll No- 12 to 22
Make a chart on ‘Noun and its kind’ (Grammar Lesson – 1).
Roll No- 23 to 33
Make a chart on ‘Bird Talk’ Unit-2 L-1.
Roll No- 34 onward
Make a chart on Animals & their ‘Young ones’ Grammar L-19.
Maths: Do unit-1, 2, 3 in a separate Notebook.
 Do sums of addition, subtraction, Multiplication & division of 3-4 digits (25 sums of each).
 Learn and write tables from 2 to 15. (2 Times)
Project work: Prepare the given chart according to your Roll No series and it must be prepared on
A4 sheet or on half chart.
 Roll No-1 to 22 -Prepare a chart on abacus showing place value up to 4 digit
number.
 Roll No- 23 onward - Make a chart on geometrical shapes with the help of paper
pasting & cutting.
Environmental Studies:  Learn lesson 1 to 5.
Project work:- Do your project work in scrap file.
 Thumb Painting
 Leaf Painting
 Making Picture by dry Leaves
 Make a Train by using Match box.
General Knowledge : (ACE) Learn lesson 1 to 11.
 Write capital and currencies of any 10 neighbouring countries of India on A4 sheet.
Moral Science:  (Wings of Life) – Learn lesson – 1 to 3.
 Make a happiness box given (Page No- 17). Read your favourite story from any book and
write about the character you like most in 40-50 words.
Computer Science:




Learn lesson 1, 2.
Prepare the given work on A4 sheet.
Make a collage on parts of a computer.
Draw any four hardware devices and label them in computer notebook.
Make a list of different types of application software and write about their usage.
Drawing: Make any one object with waste material.
 The given work of the creative Art book will be done by the students according to their Roll
No series and will be prepared on A3 sheet.
Roll No: - 1 to 15 Draw & color Landscape (Page No-6).
Roll No: - 16 to 30 Draw & color with oil pastel (Page No-12).
Roll No: - 31 to 44 Draw & colour with clown poster (Page No-14).
o Do your holidays homework in separate notebooks.
