USGA “rules of play” apply unless modified by local rules indicated below:
Format
Medal play - 36 holes. Each player will be classified into a flight in
accordance with his/her declared/attested handicap.
Tees .
Show Time for all players is 60 minutes (1 Hour) prior to the Tee Time.
 Championship and A Flight will tee off from the BLUE markers. B, C
Flights, Senior and Super Seniors will tee off from the WHITE markers.
Ladies will tee off from the RED markers.
Summer Rules
Play the ball as it lies. Except under the following conditions verified by
two (2) other members of your foursome:
Ball comes to rest in:
 Casual water in fairways
 Coral outcrop in fairways and gravel pits (drainage collection areas)
 Sprinkler heads or drainage covers
 Yardage Markers (200, 150 and 100): If it is clearly unreasonable for the
player to play a stroke through use of an unnecessarily abnormal stance,
swing or direction of play.
Relief
Player is entitled to a free lift and drop (No Penalty) within 1 club-length, Lift
& Drop
not nearer the hole, under “exceptions” described in the section above
captioned “Summer Rules.”
General Rules
 USGA “Rules of play” will govern.
 Hazards are defined by yellow stakes and red stakes.
 Out of bounds are defined by white stakes.
 All “Unstaked” boonie areas will be played as Lateral Hazards.
 Drop a ball outside the Hazard within two (2) club-lengths of, and
not nearer the hole, from the point where the original ball LAST
CROSSED THE MARGIN OF THE HAZARD.
 Staked Out of Bounds will of course be “Out of Bounds.” Play all
other boonie areas (Inside or Outside the Courses) as Lateral.
 “Drop Areas:” Drop Areas (yellow tee boxes) will be played when and
where applicable.

Scorecards
When the possibility of a lost ball or out of bounds exists, or when in doubt,
plays a provisional ball.
A slow player will be given one (1) warning. A penalty of one (1) stroke
will be assessed for any second or subsequent warning.
First place ties in any flight will be decided by a sudden death play-off
commencing at hole #17 on second day course play. All other ties will be
decided by a scorecard playoff starting with handicap 1 hole to determine the
winner.
In the event of rain, suspension of play announcements will be made by the
committee and/or the golf course management, as they deem necessary.
Otherwise, all play will resume as normal.
Participation in and operation of the tournament is at the sole discretion of
the Tournament Committee. Any decision made by this committee is final.
 All scorecards must be turned in “SIGNED and ATTESTED.”
 If a player submits an unsigned and/or unattested scorecard and
leaves the course, the player will be disqualified.
 The player is responsible for the individual hole scores. The committee is
responsible for the math (Up or Down).
REMINDER: Awards Banquet will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016
LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort Club – The Grill Restaurant immediately
after tournament.
