Steps for finding and citing Consumer Health

Steps for finding and citing Consumer Health Complete articles for mental health information.
1. Go to Elkins High School through an internet search engine
2. Click on “Library Media Services” in the tabs across the top
3. Click on “Consumer Health Complete” which is the ninth icon from the bottom of the webpage
on the right side of the screen under the contact. (Consumer Health Complete is an Ebsco
database and will require the Ebsco password at home or on a mobile device)
4. Enter the diagnosis in the search bar and click “search”
5. Click on the first article under the “Evidence-Based Reports” tab.
6. To find the MLA citation to the article, click on “print” at the top of the webpage
7. On the lower right side of the next page, under “Citation format” click on the down arrow next
to “ABNT(Brazilian National Standard)” and change to “MLA (Modern Language Association)”
8. Click “print” under “Number of items to be printed”
9. Click “Cancel”
10. Copy the citation that appears under “Works Cited” but do not include the additional
information after the “<!--Additional Information:”
11. Past the citation into a word document
12. Click “Back”
13. Find information for your mental health research within the article to use for your PowerPoint
presentation.
