Annual Declaration and Claim for Low-emission Slurry Spreading – GLAS
Dear GLAS Participant,
You applied for the Low-emission Slurry Spreading (LESS) action as part of your application for the
Green, Low-carbon, Agri-environment Scheme (GLAS).
Enclosed is your annual declaration and claim form, which must now be completed, in order to process
your 2016 payment. The fully completed form must be returned by 15th November 2016, to GLAS,
Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Johnstown Castle Estate, Wexford, Y35 PN52. Your
2016 GLAS payment cannot be processed until this form is returned and approved for payment. Failure
to return this form may result in you becoming ineligible for payment for the Low-emission Slurry
Spreading action and/or the Scheme itself.
You are not required to enclose receipts with this form. They must be kept by you with your record
sheets and be made available for any inspection. To be eligible for payment for LESS, the minimum
volume of slurry to be applied annually is 50m3. For ease of calculation, 1m3 is equal to 1,000 litres (220
gallons).
