St. Mary’s Boatmen’s Association – Island hop from St. Mary’s to all
the off islands, and enjoy scenic tours and evening trips. See notice
boards in town and on the quay for daily timetable or Facebook ‘St.

Tourist Information Centre.
Isles of Scilly Museum – A treasure chest of Scillonian history and
culture. Open Mon-Fri 10.00-4.30pm, Sat 10.00-12.00noon. Exhibits
of local interest including everything from Romano-British artefacts

Radio Scilly – 107.9 FM airs hourly news, weather and events. The
islands’ not-for-profit community radio is part-funded by the Scilly
Lottery. Each £1 player has a 1-in-2000 chance of winning £1000 in

Island Rover - Conducted bus tours of St. Mary’s including full
commentary and stops at selected viewpoints for photos. Tours last
approx 70 mins. Fares are £8 per head. Tours are unsuitable for dogs
or children under 5 years. Tours depart Holgate’s Green at 10.15 &
1.30pm Mon–Fri and 10.15am Sat.
Celebrate English Wine Week at the St. Martin’s Vineyard. There
will be special offers on their own wines (15th Vintage). Come and
experience the joys of English Wine with tastings and tours.
Our month long Isles of Scilly Festival celebrating local art,
literature, music and Island life continues this week. Pop into the
TIC for a festival programme.
Scilly Folk Festival continues this week with a selection of sessions
and music as shown daily. All lunchtime sessions are free and
anyone wishing to join in please come along with your instruments
or just your voice and join in, or just come and listen to the amazing
music.

Wildlife on Scilly Slideshow with resident naturalist Will Wagstaff. A
regularly updated talk about the islands wildlife including birds,
flowers, seals and lots more. In Church Hall (nr Museum) at 8.15pm.

Church on the Beach – A short presentation of music and poetry to
celebrate the release of a new island CD inspired by the stories of St.
Agnes Church and the surrounding seas. Featuring local musician
and composer Piers Lewin, local artist Oriel Hicks and the children of
St. Agnes. Followed by lunchtime music in the Turk’s Head, courtesy
of Scilly Folk Festival.

Larn OBE, Cornish Bard and international author. In the Methodist

Visit Isles of Scilly has teamed up with Isles of Scilly Travel and
Tregarthen's Hotel on St. Mary's to launch a fantastic new
photography competition for the summer of 2016.
It is open to anyone keen to capture the essence of the Isles of Scilly
on camera, and who is happy to have their talent showcased in our
marketing materials. The outright winner selected after an online
vote will win a three-night break for two on a Bed & Breakfast basis
at Tregarthen's Hotel on St Mary's plus one night's dinner for two at
the hotel, plus two return tickets on the Scillonian III passenger
ferry.
The competition runs until 30th September 2016 and we're on the
lookout for stunning shots that show our beautiful islands in their
best light!
