Our methodology, or practice model, is designed to empower young people by working with them to identify their priorities and aspirations; develop the skills to plan how to meet their goals; and gain the long term insights and resilience to live independent and fulfilled lives. We take a team based approach to working with young people, and have regular case review meetings where insights and advice are shared; ensuring young people benefit from the full experience and skills of the team who are able to work to a social pedagogue model. This involves building trusting professional relationships with young people, informed by insights into the reasons for what may sometimes be challenging behaviours, and demonstrate that they care about the young person’s wellbeing and are interested in them and their point of view, by: Actively listening Involving them in decisions about them Persistence – keeping the door open Affirmation – showing young people that someone believes in their potential, even when they may have lost sight of this themselves Contract Manager Senior Support Worker Specialist Support Workers (Transitions) x 2 Support & Development Workers x 4 Assistant Support Workers x 3 Night Support Workers x 2 Night Concierge Service Young people will be given a choice of key-worker as part of our person-centred model.
