Scope of the role
Development of the Strategic Agenda through use of software; and associated analysis and
investigation, model manipulation, scenario running and output interpretation, to accurately
model the current and future end to end supply chain.
Key accountabilities and measures

Involved in optimising and defining the future Foods supply chain

Data preparation, interpretation and investigation of all modelling inputs and outputs. Data should be valid and error free
with the ability to convert the raw data into meaningful and relevant insight. Through this, develop a thorough and
detailed understanding of data models, table structures, data definitions, how, when and where data is collected and its
sufficiency and accuracy

Become key contact for all business modelling scenarios

Owner of base case, model preparation and scenario testing within modelling software. To accurately and efficiently
respond to ad hoc requests for information and analysis with supporting documentation and highlighting assumptions
made

Liaison with the analytics team, IT data insights team and foods finance team to ensure the right data is sourced to
provide a realistic version of the current supply chain

Proactive data modelling to test assumptions and support and prepare business cases

Insightful presentation of outputs from data modelling and interpretation
Key skills

To have an passion for working with data with a numerical, analytical and logical approach

Ability to convert raw data into meaningful and relevant insights

Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy, with an eye for detail

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Excellent Excel skills; PowerPoint, Business Objects, SAP knowledge is ideal but not compulsory

Self-motivated with the an interest in learning new skills and data handling techniques

Good knowledge of supply chain and logistics drivers are desirable, but not compulsory

Data interpretation and numerical skills

Excellent problem solving skills

Structured and organised approach, ensuring all processes are documented and any risk or assumptions are well
communicated and mitigated where possible

Able to work well as part of a team as well as alone

Successful implementation of data policy changes

Ability to adhere to project deadlines with excellent delivery of results and recommendations, whilst remaining calm,
professional and positive under pressure

Desirable qualifications and experience

Degree with a considerable mathematical, scientific, logistical, statistical or IT component

Expert user of Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of SQL, Databases, Microsoft Access

Strong mathematical and statistical competency

Highly computer illiterate

Exposure to the end to end supply chain and logistics drivers

Proven track record or experience in an analytical field

