Agape' MCC
~
7:00 P.M.
The LGBT community has faced discrimination from society
largely based on 6 verses out of over 30,000 that are used
to bash same-sex relationships. In other portions of
scripture, the Bible seems to affirm same-sex attraction.
The Bible should be interpreted through the life and
ministry of Jesus, who never condemned anyone for having
same-sex attractions.
These classes will discuss the clobber passages, passages
that affirm, and look at resources that will help anyone
wanting a better understanding of the Bible and sexual
orientation.

We invite you to bring painting supplies and equipment IF
you have them - especially rollers, rolling pads, rolling pan
plastic liners, drop cloths, and painters tape. We have
PLENTY of brushes already :-). If you cannot help with the
actual painting but want to bring supplies to help with the
effort that would be greatly appreciated.

Recycled Art Materials Needed!
Can You Help?
It's time for another plea for recycled art
materials! School is starting and I'll be using
all sorts of things with my art students.
Things you would normally toss like:
magazines, colored plastic lids (no white or
clear, please), metal bottle caps of all kinds, fabric scraps,
dried or silk flowers, dryer sheets, bubble wrap, net bags
that oranges, potatoes, and onions come in, thin sheets of
corrugated cardboard, sponges, broken jewelry, broken
watches, rusty hardware, springs, eggshells, RANDOM
things:-)
If you aren't sure - send me an email (click here) and I
will let you know. One HUGE request - used canvases. All of
the artwork in the church is on recycled canvas- found in
garage sales and flea markets. I'd appreciate all your
used/recycled treasures! Thank you!!! - Judy
