Dutch Lady to raise prices
PETAUNG JAVA Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd Dutch
Lady Malaysia will increase its product prices by 5 6 in
phases starting next month due to increasing raw mate
rial prices
Managing director Bas van den Berg said raw mate
rial prices are expected to increase by 29 this year
compared with 27 last year
We will continuously face higher raw material prices
and think it is equitable to increase prices this year he
told reporters after the company s annual general meet
ing yesterday
He said Dutch Lady Malaysia had already increased its
growing up milk product by 5 with the launch of the
reformulated growing up milk range with 5X DHA in
January this year
On the outlook for 2011 van den Berg said the market
outlook for dairy products is good backed by higher milk
consumption
He said the company will continue to develop markets
in many milk categories and is confident of delivering a
strong financial result this year
