Kathryn has joined our team as Deputy Manager, alongside Jean Coombes. We are now taking bookings for POSH Holiday Club over the summer holiday period. We have arranged lots of exciting trips out each day. Please speak to Charlotte, Jean or Kathy to book a place for your child. Helen’s Advice – Reading Tips for Parents Funding The funding for all 2, 3 & 4 year old children finished on Friday 15th July 2016. The funding will re-commence on Monday 5th September 2016. Over the holiday, we have various sessions available for your child to attend, however, these are payable by parents. Extra sessions benefit children’s learning, development and continuity of care. If you wish to book any sessions, please let Charlotte know It’s never too early to read to your baby. Reading with your baby or child will foster a love of books right from the start. Choose books with bright or high-contrast illustrations. As your baby gets older choose action books or books with flaps. Let your child turn the pages. Point things out on the page and answer your child’s questions. Ask questions of your own and listen to your child’s responses. Read with your child every day. Read to your child with humour and expression. Use different voices. Read favourite stories and sing favourite songs over and over again. Repeated fun with books will strengthen language development and positive feelings about reading.
