Introduction
Maranatha Christian University was founded on September 11, 1965 with the support of
Gereja Kristen Indonesia (Indonesian Christian Church) and Gereja Kristen Pasundan
(Pasundan Christian Church). The university was initially made up of only one faculty : the
Faculty of Medicine and recently we have 8 faculties, which are Faculty of Medicine, Faculty
of Engineering, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Letters, Faculty of
Information Technology, Faculty of Art and Design, and Faculty of Law.
Maranatha Christian University has 3 values to be implemented in the daily life, which are
Integrity, Care, and Excellence (ICE).
Maranatha Christian University is an accredited university that has been acceptable by the
public through its achievements, such as when its faculty members and also the students
become the speakers in many national and international conferences
Our university also has reached some achievements in the research in 2012 through the
Faculty of Medicine that obtained 9 funding research by the Directorate General of Higher
Education (DIKTI). The Accountancy Program has reached the Best Professional
Accountancy of Private University according to the accreditation score.
The awards such as Robot Competition, Psychology Debate Competition, that were won by
Maranatha Christian University’s students have also brought Maranatha Christian University
to national and International area.
Our university has also appeared in the list of 50 promising university in Indonesia.
Maranatha Christian University has the collaborations with some universities in China such
as Guangxi Normal University, Wuhan University, Guizhou University, and Guizhou Normal
University and also has the collaborations with Korea, Japan and the Netherlands.
