Swivl in the Classroom
wivl
• Confuse the power receptacle for the
audio receptacle on the Swivl.
• Position your subject in front of a bright
background such as windows.
• Place the Swivl in a location that could be
easily bumped or knocked over.
• Wear jewelry, scarves, etc. that might
interfere with the audio transmission
from the marker.
• Have sidebar conversations
• Move too fast. The Swivl can track the
speaker but they need to move slowly.
• Record activity time during
presentations
wivl
• Practice with the Swivl in advance of the
presentation.
• Record a short practice segment at the
presentation location. Play it back to
ensure the audio is working.
• Position your device so that the audio
jack is at the bottom of the device so the
audio cable can reach between your
device and the Swivl.
• Always face the recording device
• Check the tilt of your device so that the
subject is in the middle of the screen not
the lower part of the screen.
• Make sure your volume is turned up all the
way on your device when recording.
• Periodically check your video/audio
before, during and after you record
• Make sure you align your recording device
with the Swivl
