The Friends are a group of enthusiastic local
people that help with conservation activities
around the Park. They are supported and trained
by the Countryside Rangers in carrying out
practical conservation work, assisting in wildlife
surveys and monitoring, creating new projects to
benefit the area and much more.

The Portal, North Ayrshire’s new high tech leisure centre, opened its
doors in January this year and incorporates the renovated 1862
Townhouse.
opening soon, the beautifully restored building will offer activities
including genealogy & family history, local history, research facilities,
gallery space, heritage displays and activities in the creative rooms

and cultural events. Modern, state of the art audio visual kit and up to date
