About
‘Football FIVE5 Junior Leagues’ are ‘5-a-side’ leagues hosted by Northern NSW Football at the brand
new Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility each Saturday morning during Spring. Football FIVE5
Junior Leagues provide the opportunity for Miniroos boys and girls aged 6-11 years to play more
football and have fun in a safe environment..
1. Player Registration
The registration of players participating in a Football FIVE5 Junior Leagues is mandatory and must be
undertaken prior to a player being considered eligible to participate. By the act of registration, a
player agrees to abide by the Football FIVE5’s and NNSWF’s Regulations, as well as Football
Federation Australia (FFA) Statutes.
2. Team Registration
Teams participating in a Football FIVE5 Junior Leagues are required to register a minimum of seven
(7) players, with allowance for a maximum of ten (10).
3. Registration Fees
All teams participating in a Football FIVE5 Saturday Leagues are required to pay an upfront
registration fee to NNSWF, as per below.

4. League Structure
Football FIVE5 Junior Leagues will comprise of three (3) age groups as follows:
U6/7s
U8/9s
U10/11s
Each age group may be graded or split into single age at the discretion of Football FIVE5
Each grade will run for 8 weeks.
5. League Schedule
Start Date - February 11th 2017
Finish Date – April 1st 2017
6. The Field of Play
Matches take place on Football FIVE5 dedicated all weather synthetic 5-a-side pitches which are 30 x
20m. Pitches include rebound boards and netting to ensure the ball remains in play for the duration
of the match.
7. Duration of the Match
A match will last two equal periods of 10 minutes, with a brief half-time interval for teams to change
ends.
8. The Number of Players
An U6-7s match is played by two teams, each consisting of not more than six (6) players, one of
whom is the goalkeeper.
An U8-9s and U10-11s match is played by two teams, each consisting of not more than five (5)
players, one of whom is the goalkeeper.
A match may not start if either team consists of fewer than four (4) players. If one of the teams has
fewer than four (4) players on the field of play a forfeit is awarded to the opposing team.
Teams may have a maximum of five (5) interchange players.
A player interchange may be made at any time, whether the ball is in play or not, provided the
referee has been informed.
The interchange of a goalkeeper may only take place during a stoppage in the match, provided the
referee has been informed.
Each team will have the opportunity for unlimited interchange during a match.
9. Player Equipment/Uniform
A player must not use any equipment, or wear anything (including jewellery) that could be
dangerous to him or herself or another player.
The wearing of shin guards that provide a reasonable degree of protection is compulsory.
Moulded football boots or ‘runners’ must be worn.
Players in a team must wear the same colours shirts as a minimum.
10. The Referees
Each match is controlled by a designated game leader.
The decision of the referee regarding facts connected with play, including whether or not a goal is
scored and the result of a match, are final.
11. Points Table
Football FIVE5 Junior Leagues are non-competitive leagues. No official winners will be declared at
the conclusion of the Leagues. The following will be available each week:
U6-7s: No scores recorded
U8-9s: Scores published online, but no points table kept
U10-11s: Scores and table published online
12. Fixture Cancellations, Forfeits and Reschedules
In the event of the cancellation of a fixture, all teams will be notified by Football FIVE5.
In the event of the cancellation of a fixture due to unavailability of a team, the unavailable team
must notify the Football FIVE5 at least 24 hours prior to the fixtures published time. Football FIVE5
will then notify the other team.
If a team forfeits two fixtures during a Football FIVE5, it may be removed from the League at the
discretion of the Football FIVE5, with no refund given.
In the event that a fixture falls on a public holiday, the fixture will be rescheduled by Football FIVE5
in consultation with team contacts.
13. All Weather Policy
Football FIVE5 is an all-weather facility..
Football FIVE5 will monitor for lightning as per Northern NSW Football’s Lightning Policy.
In the event of lightning in the 1st half of a game, the game will be delayed for 30mins, should
lightning not clear within 30 mins the match will be rescheduled by Football FIVE5 in consultation
with team captains.
In the event of lightning during the 2nd half of a game, the game will be called off and the score as it
was when the game was called off will stand. No game called off in the 2nd Half will be re-scheduled.
14. Other Matters
Football FIVE5, in consultation with NNSWF, has the authority to make decisions and take action on
any matter not catered for specifically in these regulations.
