Welcome to Vermont Tech
Schedule Information
Newly admitted students are automatically registered for a full-time class schedule based on their
placement, prior credits and program requirements, unless they have indicated to Admissions that they
desire to be less than full-time or have requested specific classes only. Registration takes place in the
months just prior to the start of classes, after applicants have been accepted and paid their deposits.
Class schedules are not mailed out and are not considered firm until orientation weekend. Final class
schedules will be available at the Office of the Registrar or site office during orientation. Students that
need to change their schedule may do so with their advisor during orientation and through first week of
classes.
No on-line registration or add/drop is available until approved by the academic advisor each term.

All five Vermont State Colleges (VSC)-Vermont Tech, Castleton, Johnson, Lyndon and the Community
College of Vermont utilize the same on-line Web Services for academic data information. Students other
than LPN students, that desire to co-register at another VSC school under the VSC Enrollment
Consortium Agreement at no additional charge may contact the Registrar’s Office (802) 728-1303 to
register. All of the course offerings for the VSC are available using the Search for Sections option.
All students are expected to use or forward their Vermont Tech e-mail to an account that they regularly
check. Important information is sent to students via e-mail only. Training on and policies pertaining to
computer usage at Vermont Tech is conducted during orientation.
On Web Services, in addition to the class schedules, there are many useful links that students will use
throughout their academic career at Vermont Tech. Mid-term warnings, grades, unofficial transcripts, test
scores, graduation applications and most importantly degree audits (program evaluations) are accessible
on-line. Take some time to look at what is available.
Academic advisor contact information is available under the Academic Profile My profile link and there is
an e-mail link directly to each student’s advisor under Communication called E-mail My Advisor(s).
BLACKBOARD
Many instructors utilize Blackboard in delivering on-line and regular classes. For those classes, the
section number in the box labeled Blackboard – My Courses, on the right side of the page that opens up
when you first log in, is a link to the syllabus and other information for that class.
Blackboard - My Courses
T09FA: English Composition
T09FA: Technical Math (unavailable)*
(unavailable*) indicates that the instructor has not set up of the section information for viewing yet.
The sections listed under Blackboard – My Courses are not necessarily an entire student schedule.
Only those sections with Blackboard information set up will be listed. To view the entire schedule, the
Web Services VSC Class Schedule must be used.
