Iphone Apps Visual Spatial Logic • Tangram Pro • iRectangles - uses math facts (multiplication facts) to cover a grid with rectangles • Move the Box - clear the grid in the amount of moves they allow by matching 3 boxes of the same type in a row Math Facts/Number sense • Motion Math Zoom - is a free app that works on number lines. It starts with whole numbers, moves to negatives and decimals. I have found that one of the biggest issue students have with math is their understanding of number and visualizing where numbers line up. • Lobster Diver - similar to Motion Math Zoom, but a bit different • Math Racer - just a speed math fact fluency game. • Motion Math Hungry Fish - The fish is hungry for numbers. Using the numbers on in the screen you have to make sums by pinching two number together. It's free but if you want to make it harder you can buy subtraction and negative numbers. • 10 by IOJOE – slide numbers together to add up to 10. • Threes! By Sirvo LLC – slide number together to make 3, combine 3s to make 6s, etc. • Quento – simple puzzle where you are given the answer but you have to find the problem Math Content Lure of the Labyrinth (employee cafeteria) - a game in which the food on a plate all have rules (or relationships to one another). For example, the chicken might by 3x the sushi. The plates also have relationships between each other. For example, the squid's plate could be 3x the Yeti's plate.
