Carlisle 3/230 defeated Karrinyup 7/189
We played against Karrinyup at Yuluma park. Lost the toss and got sent
into bat. I only lasted a couple of overs before being caught for 4. Enter
Ray Smith, batted with Chris Jowsey for a partnership of 140 before Chris
went for 32 and Ray a few overs later for 135. We ended our 40 overs
3/230, another great effort.
With Karrinyup playing a lot of new guys due to short numbers, it didn't
take us long to start ripping through their ordinary line up. Zac Jones
4/29 off 8 was the pick of the bowlers but only after he started pitching
the ball up.
Others to grab wickets were DJ with 2/24 and 1 to big Alwin, SC bowled a
very unlucky 8 overs and DN also unlucky with his 5 overs.
Karrinyup ending on 7/189.
Anyway 7th grade are still undefeated with Leederville this Saturday. Keep
it up lads.

This year we are celebrating the end of a great season at the club

The small pool table in the club room is up for grabs to the highest bidder.
Email me your bids over the next week, the highest bidder will be notified
on 24th Jan. It must be taken out of the club house ASAP.

Player safety - ICE (in case of emergency)
In light of the recent Phil Hughes tragedy, we are asking all players
to please supply the club with an “ICE” contact. This can be emailed
to me or given to your captains. A list of all players “ICE” contacts
will be attached to the back of the score books.
Fundraising
We ran another Bunnings sausage sizzle on the 3rd Jan. It was
fairly quiet but we still managed to make a few $100’s profit for the
club.
