Webster Bank Receives Three “Best of Business” Awards
WATERBURY/HARTFORD, CONN., February 3, 2017 – Webster Bank is pleased to have
received three Best of Business (BOB) Awards, announced by the Hartford Business Journal. The
ceremony took place Jan. 26 in downtown Hartford, Connecticut. Webster earned top honors in three
categories: Best Bank for Business, Business Lender, and Commercial Mortgage Lender.
“We are pleased to receive this honor at the inaugural event,” said Tim Bergstrom, regional president
for greater Hartford at Webster. “This award is based on readers’ and business leaders’ opinions and
is a reflection of how we live up to our customers and communities. It’s been more than 80 years
since Harold Webster Smith opened what is now Webster Bank with $25,000, borrowed by family
and friends, to help families buy and build homes and we have never forgotten our roots.
Relationships are the foundation of who we are and what we stand for at Webster – a values-guided,
community-focused, regional bank.”
