Cell phones – turned off or vibrate…NO cell phones or headphones allowed while playing
Coaching:
a. ONE coaching per game – ALL skill levels
b. Coaching is limited to 1 (one) minute
c. ONLY the coach or player may call for a time out
d. Asking a player if he needs a time out is considered coaching
e. Pocket Markers - A marker may be anything except chalk! If a player pockets the 8-Ball
without the marker being nearest the intended pocket, it is loss of game. It is not necessary to
touch the marker if it is already located at the desired pocket.
f. Anyone may tell the player to place a marker, and it will not be considered a coaching or foul!!
7. CLOSE SHOTS: ONLY the player or the coach may stop the game to ask for a referee to watch a
shot. The REFEREE’S call is FINAL!! If no OFFICIAL referee is called, do not object later!!!
(Stopping the game to ask for a referee will not be considered a time out or coaching.) ONLY CALL
FOR A REFEREE IF IT IS A VERY CLOSE SITUATION!!
8. Players will sit in designated player areas during their matches.
9. SUDDEN DEATH: All teams must be into their fifth match by the 3 ½ hour mark, or all subsequent
matches will be race to ONE!!
NO SPLITS…..NO SLOW PLAY
10. TOURNAMENT CONTROL TABLE: Only the TEAM CAPTAINS should approach the tournament
control table about team issues, player questions or tournament issues!!!
11. DRESS CODE: Your team is competing in the world’s largest amateur league. If you have an issue
about the opposing teams dress code – the team captain must approach the tournament control
table BEFORE that match starts!!





NO shorts, flipflops, holes in clothing, grunge looking, and NO belly showing!!!
T-Shirts- may be worn only if they are “TEAM” Shirts or APA Shirts
PANTS & JEANS must be proper size and clean
MEN NO sandals and shirts MUST have sleeves
LADIES NO short skirts.TOPS must have sleeves, NOT be revealing. Capris ok.
PLAYERS DRESSED IMPROPERLY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY OR SIT WITH
TEAM!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!
NO SMOKING!!!
E-Cigs okay NO CHILDREN!!!
12. Good sportsmanship as always is expected from everyone.
OFFENSIVE OR DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!!!
