Note Taker Instructions for notetaker.ung.edu
Initial Email Sent to the Class Roster:
A note-taker is needed for [class name]. If you would be willing to volunteer to be a note-taker and plan to
attend on a regular basis, please log onto notetaker.ung.edu to sign up. Students who take this opportunity to
serve will receive early registration for next semester’s classes and a $40 stipend. Co-curricular Credit is also
available for those who request it. Note-takers are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.
To sign up:
 Go to: notetaker.ung.edu
 Enter in UNG username and password [like you would if signing onto a campus computer]
 If your class needs a note taker, you will see a message ending with “Would you like to Volunteer?”.
Click the word Volunteer to sign up.



Read and Submit the Note Taking Volunteer Agreement
You will receive an email with a link and instructions for submitting a Student Vendor Form. This form
must be completed in order for you to receive your stipend.
Your initial email will also include a training and quiz for you to complete.
Uploading Notes:
Please upload notes within 24 hours of each class
 On your document, put the class, the professor’s name, page number, and date at the top of the page.
Save a copy of your notes (to your personal desktop or your P: Drive on a UNG computer).
 Login to notetaker.ung.edu, when you view your schedule it will show a button that says “upload
notes”. Select “Upload Notes” button.
 Give the file title a name. The name should be the date the notes were taken: “SOCI1100 Jan 9th”
notes”, Select “choose file” and load the scanned version of the notes.
 You can include any comments in the comments box. Examples include: quiz next Tuesday, no notes
for today-class was cancelled, etc.
 If class is cancelled or there are no notes for that day, please note that in the “comments” section.
 When you are ready to upload the notes, select the “Upload Notes” button.
 You will see an icon confirming that the notes have been loaded.
 Always click on the notes to verify that they have been loaded correctly.

Taker Coordinator in your campus’ Student Disability Services Office.
