Set Min Max Sales Price Range for Items
Introduction:
Customers bargain. While businesses offer discounts, maintaining the minimum margin is also required. In
case of numerous inventory or multiple billing points random discounting becomes risky as the decision
maker may not be available all the time. It is practically not possible for to remember cost price for each
item.
This add-on facilitates organisations to exercise control over minimum or maximum sales rates for an item.
You can define Item wise price range. While invoicing if the rate entered is less or more then the specified
range, billing will stop & Tally will show the right price range.

Setup Guide:
To enable the add-on, after downloading – Go to Gateway of Tally > F11: Features > Add-on Features >
Set “Yes” to the options > “Enable Max / Min Rate Control on Sales Invoice?”
To view minimum / minimum rate in stock item master is control by F12 configuration, Navigate to
Gateway of Tally > Inventory Info. > Stock Item > Create / Alter > Press F12 > Enable the option
‘Allow Advance Entries in master’:
The user will now view an additional section in Stock Item Master for ‘Min / Max Rate Control’. Proceed to
enter the minimum & maximum rate here.
Users can also enter Min and Max rates for a group or all items. To capture min and max rates for
multiple items, from Gateway of Tally > Inventory Info. > Stock Item > Min/Max Rate
On selecting the above option, a list appears asking to select the Stock Group.
On selecting one of the above stock groups, the stock items pertaining to that group are displayed as
below. Here you can specifiy the miniumum & maximum sales rate for all items.
If you do not want to set the maximum sales price, but set only min minimum sales price, then leave the
maximum sales rate column blank.
Note: Maximum rate can’t be less then minimum rate entered.
At sales voucher an error message is shown, if the rate entered is less or more than the rate
mentioned in stock item master (as above):
If you are not using the batches in items, the error message will be shown at voucher as below:

If I am using the ‘Price List’ or Maintaining Std. Rate, will this feature work?
Yes, this feature will work without any conflict as this is just checking the price & not entering it.
What is the minimum release requirement of this add-on?
This will work fine on the Tally.ERP9 release 2.1 onwards.
What if I upgrade my ERP to a newer version available in the future?
Most of the add-ons by Impressive Star would work with the coming releases as they are generic by
design. However, if there is any major code change, an update of the add-on would be made available.
