We hope you enjoy our desert environment at Grayhawk. We ask for
your assistance in preserving the natural desert beauty. Please be careful
as you venture into the desert. Since your enjoyment and safety are
priorities, we have established the following local rules.
USGA RULES GOVERN ALL PLAY
EXCEPT WHERE MODIFIED BY LOCAL RULES
• Desert Rule — In order to preserve our desert’s natural beauty and to
provide relief for shots hit into the desert, the player may, under penalty
of one stroke, drop a ball within two club-lengths of the point where the
ball last crossed the grass line.
• Out-of-Bounds areas are clearly marked by white stakes or perimeter
fences surrounding the course.
• Free relief may be taken from all staked trees and tree wells — one
club-length, no nearer to the hole.
• Sprinkler heads are measured to the center of the green.
• Grayhawk Golf Club is conserving water. Our golf courses are irrigated
with non-potable reclaimed water. Please do not drink irrigation or
lake water.
