MINISTRY TOOLBOX – A.C.T.S. PRAYER MODEL
Consider praying according to the A.C.T.S. model, while focusing on the
very words God uses in Scripture. For inspiration, you may choose to use
Scripture from any of the Verses for Life Ministry Tools.
A – Adoration
C – Confession
T – Thanksgiving
S – Supplication
EXAMPLE
The A.C.T.S. prayer model, using two verses from God’s Word describing our Almighty God.
Psalm 62:11 — Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God,
Psalm 89:8 — O LORD God of hosts, who is mighty as you are, O LORD, with your faithfulness
all around you?
A – Adoration “Almighty God, power belongs to you and no other, particularly not to me.
O LORD God of hosts, no one is mighty as you. To whom would I turn other than you?
No one! On whom may I rely? Only you!”
C – Confession “My LORD, you know how often I forget your power, trying to live by my
own strength and resources. I repent of my self-centeredness. I will remember your
promises to be faithful to me through your might. I will rely on your power in all my
circumstances.”
T – Thanksgiving “God of hosts, thank you for your mighty faithfulness to me…” [You
may list circumstances in which you are thankful for God’s powerful work in your life.]
S – Supplication “God of power, please support [name or group] by your powerful
strength…” [You may add specific requests.]
