The students will learn all aspects of the game of basketball. This will include how to run an offense, play team and individual
defense, shoot a free throw, jump shot, foul shot, bank shot and lay-up. They will also learn different ball-handling skills along with
the positions on the court so they can master all the skills of the game. They will scrimmage every day, so they can put into play
everything they are learning.

In this workshop, students will write and illustrate a picture book from their own imaginations. Looking at the who, what, where and
why of their story, students will develop a meaningful narrative that comes alive through their writing, and is supplemented through

will create bridges, towers, boats and many other things using simple items and our own resourceful minds. Are you up for the

In this class students will be creating a variety of projects and works of art in 2Dimensions. Students will be introduced to a variety of
contemporary approaches in art making. Ranging from mixed media and design, to the use of projectors and non traditional art
making tools to help them create unique works of art as individuals and in group collaborative assignments as well. Out theme of
“surf art” and “ocean” imagery will give the class a focus point to work within and a fun summer atmosphere to help guide them on
their quest in creativity. *Jazz, Classical, and instrumental world music will aide them during these class periods in their creative flow.

In this class students will be introduced to certain key art historical approaches and movements in modern art. They will be
connecting that to a contemporary application of art making. We will discuss the basics of impressionism, cubism, minimalism, and
postmodernism. The students will see examples of masterworks accompanied by a brief explanation of some of the basic ideas
surrounding those movements and then as a class we will spend time learning to implement some of those concepts into their own
personal expressions in today's world.
