Completing a Vocational Placement (VP) is an excellent way to broaden your learning environment while you are
studying. It allows you to see first-hand how what you are learning in your degree translates into practice, as well
as how ‘real world’ practice relates to what you are learning at University.
Much of the benefit of a VP comes from observation, practicing under supervision and reflection. Reflection
involves both a cognitive aspect – what happened, how did it happen, how did people behave, what were the
contributing factors and so on – and an affective factor – what did I feel about that. In other words, reflection is
analytical.
As this VP is an accredited part of your learning process, there will be an assessment component. The assessment
tasks are opportunities for you to demonstrate the acquisition of intended learning outcomes.

D. Learning Objectives

goals were met and the extent to which new goals emerged or unexpected results eventuated (1500 words)
You may wish to profile one particular project that you were most involved in, or that took prominence
