CRKT® is releasing the Black Fork™ Hunting Knife Set. Designed by Tom Krein of Gentry,
Arkansas, the set is created from years of big game experience: three burly, easy-to-clean knives
that roll away in a remarkably lightweight package.
Tom Krein totes a big-game resume that spans from the east coast to the west. With strong
stainless steel fixed blades and a satin finish, these three blades are designed to be raring to go
when Krein tags any big-game mammal Mother Nature can put in front of his scope. The set
features a caping knife, a skinning knife, and a gut hook for dressing a trophy and packing it out.
Short, but extremely ergonomic skeleton handles help in getting a good grip in any position—
even if you find yourself elbow deep. They’re also remarkably simple and easy to clean, and
feature a lanyard hole so you can easily switch between the three. They pack neatly into a woven
polyester sheath after you rinse them in a stream and tuck easily away into your pack.
It’s impossible to argue that Krein had a flawless vision when he set out to design this hunting set.
