RULE CHANGES PASSED AT THE 2016 PERTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
1) The MARATHON is removed from the WMA Stadia Championships
programme, effective 1 January 2017 and the HALF MARATHON is included
in future WMA Stadia Championships, effective from 1 January 2017
2) The 10,000 METRES TRACK RACE is DELETED from the WMA Stadia
Championships commencing 1 January 2017, and is replaced by a 10km
Road race commencing from 1 January, 2017.
3) New event from 1st January 2018. A 5km Outdoor Road Race Walk
Event is included in Indoor championships. It will not be a Team
Event.
4) The HALF MARATHON event is removed as a required event from the
WMA Indoors Championships, effective 1st January 2018.
5) A 10KM ROAD RACE is included in future WMA INDOORS Championships
in all age groups, commencing 1st January 2018.
The CROSS COUNTRY RACE for MEN AND WOMEN age groups 70 plus will
reduced to 6KM, effective from 1st January 2018.
