MISSION STATEMENT
As a chapter of USA Dance, it is our mission to improve the quality and
quantity of ballroom dancing in the Central Savannah River Area. We
strive to provide a common bond in the dance community by supporting
all professional studios as well as amateur dance organizations in their
efforts to develop ballroom dancing.
FROM THE PRESIDENT...
Dear Members and Friends,
Our next dance will be Saturday November 17th at the
American Legion at Lake Olmstead. The dance starts at 7:30
and goes until 11pm with an Argentine Tango lesson from 8 to
8:30. Our guest instructor will be Eduardo Diaz from A&E
Dance Studio/Aiken.
At the Nov 17th dance we will be collecting any item that you
might have for our Dec 1st Silent Auction in support of our local
wounded warriors. (Ft Gordon Wounded Warrior Battalion and
at the VA hospital) Funds collected after expenses will be
distributed to the Sunshine People that in turn provide Sunshine
boxes directly to the Wounded Warriors at Ft Gordon and the
VA hospital in Augusta. Rudy Brostrom is head of the group
and will be at the November 17th dance to answer any
questions you might have and how you too can be involved.
For our December 1st dance we ask you to dress with your
Sunday best, better known as Semi-formal. The dance will be
free for USA Dance members. Nonmembers that donate an
item for the silent auction will be allowed free entry as well.
The evening will include Dinner with USA Dance providing
Entrees and members providing side dishes. This is going to be
a great meal similar to many Sunday Church Socials you may
have attended. Don’t miss this one!!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ballroom in Motion Second Saturday Dance Party will be the winter showcase and will be held Dec 8th
at The Elks Ballroom. Doors open at 7:30. The dance will go until 11PM. $20 per person. This event is

The Ballroom Dance Center Every Friday Dances will start at 8:00 pm, giving dancers ½ hour more time
to have fun, practice and enjoy fellowship with other dancers. Every Friday Dance, 8 – 11 pm, $10, casual

The Elk's Lodge is having a dance each Friday. The music will be by DJ Joe Tutt. He will be
playing slow dances, shag/swing, and line dances. Finger food will be available at 7:00 PM. The
music starts at 8:00 PM, and a donation of $8.00 is requested at the door. Everyone is invited!
EXCEPTION: The third Friday dance will be a catered dinner affair with music provided by a
band. A donation of $35.00 per couple or $18.00 single is requested at this dance.
The American Legion Post 63 holds a dance every Friday night from 8 until 11pm. Every other
week a live band performs. All other times music is provided by DJ Bill Doker. The cost is $10 per

A&E Dance Studio/Aiken holds a 4th Saturday dance every month. Doors open at 7:30 and goes

studying dance. Starting in 2013, we are expanding our scholarship program to include adults. Join
