Your Huawei Wi-Fi Extender
Switch your
router on by
pressing the
power button
on the side of
the router.
Let’s get
started.

Plug the Wi-Fi Extender into a power socket.
Make sure that this is close to your Wi-Fi router,
and that your router is switched on for easy setup.

The centre LED button will flash red for a
few seconds before turning blue. When
blue you can begin the configuration.

the Extender.

Connect your computer to the
Extender via Wi-Fi.
Make sure that you have switched on
your Wi-Fi on your computer. Click on the
Wi-Fi icon in the system tray and select
Wi-Fi Network HUAWEI-******
(e.g. HUAWEI-DRGNWF).
Type in the Wi-Fi password that you will
find on the back of the Wi-Fi Extender.
Click Join.

Open your internet browser and go to http://
mediarouter.home (or 192.168.33.1)

Type in admin for both the username and
password and click Login.

Select the middle tab for Wi-Fi Repeater.

Click Next to confirm your selection.

Click Scan and the extender will search for the
Wi-Fi router.
Almost

Select the Wi-Fi signal that you want
to connect to, and type your password
into the Key field. Click Connect.

The extender and router will now connect. You will see a
Congratulations message once they are connected.

Your Wi-Fi extender will now have blue
inner arcs, and just above, bigger green arcs
to show signal strength.

Click Advance Settings.
Select Basic and then Management Wi-Fi.
Change the Wi-Fi SSID to your preferred Wi-Fi name.
Change the WPA preshared Key (or password) to a
password of your choice. Click Submit to save your
changes.
Click Logout.

Plug the extender into the desired area that you
wish to extend the signal to.

Make sure there are at least 2 green
arcs showing on the front of the device
otherwise the signal strength is too weak.

You can now connect your Wi-Fi enabled
devices to your extender.

Router setup is now complete.
Test your internet connection by going to
www.youtube.com/telkom
And just like that
you can now
connect your
Wi-Fi enabled
devices to your
Wi-Fi Extender.
