Huawei Video Conferencing Products Pass Interoperability
Test at IMTC, 2014
San Diego, US, 22 July 2014 – Huawei, a leading global information and
communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, recently attended SuperOp 2014,
organized by the International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC) in
USA. During SuperOp 2014, Huawei's video conferencing products successfully
demonstrated interoperability with products from other mainstream videoconferencing
vendors. Huawei also garnered the test certificate issued by OVCC (Open Visual
Communications Consortium), a proof to its outstanding interoperability capability.
It was the fourth time for Huawei, a member of the IMTC Board of Directors and the
only Chinese vendor to participate in the conference. The interoperability tests were
conducted on an extensive portfolio of videoconferencing products, including the TE30
all-in-one video conferencing endpoint, the new generation 1080P60 TE40 endpoint, the
multi-platform soft client TE Mobile & Desktop, VP9630 universal transcoding Multipoint
Control Unit (MCU), network platform GK/SIP server Switch Center and RSE6500
recording server. The products worked seamlessly with its counterparts from other video
conferencing vendors, which were highly recognized by the attendees, including
members of Open Visual Communications Consortium (OVCC).
As part of the program, Super Connect tests were performed among ten vendors,
involving 49 endpoints and six MCUs. Huawei products, such as TE30, TE40, and TE
Mobile endpoints and VP9630 MCU were engaged in the test, which took only 12 minutes
to interconnect with products from other vendors, a new benchmark set by Huawei video
conferencing products in interoperation with other vendors.
