RANDOM DRAW – WINTER CARIBOU HUNTING Despite their relative abundance, the number of caribou in the hunting area can vary greatly from year to year, since they are migratory animals. The ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs is responsible for regulations and granting caribou hunting licences. Terms and conditions : CARIBOU IN THE WINTER • There will be 250 winners for the 2014 random draw. DECEMBER 1st 2014 TO JANUARY 30, 2015 • Each winner will be awarded 2 licences, one for themselves and the other for their companion, which gives the right to bag two caribou. • The hunter holding the second licence may only hunt if the winner of the draw is present in zone 22A. • For the 2014-2015 hunting periods ( fall and winter ), a hunter will not be able to hold more than one licence and will hunt only in the zone or area designated on the licence. • The hunting period will extend from December 1st, 2014 to January 30th, 2015 FIREARM Entry CODE BOXES 180 to 185 on the form COST OF LICENCE ESTIMATED NUMBER OF LICENCES ZONE CAR22A 65,66 $ 500 ( 2 per winner ) 22 - sector A ENTRY DEADLINE MAY 31, 2014 LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER CODE HUNTER’S CERTIFICATE MANDATORY A young person aged 12 to 17 years old, or a student aged 18 to 24 years old, who is the child of the winner or his spouse, may use the winner’s caribou hunting licence. This young person or this student must carry the licence, a valid hunters certificate and in the case of a student, a valid student card. We remind you that if you register online at sepaq.com/randomdraw, you will receive your results within 48 hours of the draw. To obtain additional information about the draw, consult the terms and conditions on the back of this letter or on the Web site at sepaq.com/randomdraw, contact the Sépaq Sales and Reservations Office at 1 800 665-6527 or write us at [email protected] To enter the draw • You must be a Québec resident and hold a valid hunter’s certificate. • You must complete an official entry form or register online at sepaq.com/randomdraw. • You must enter your hunter’s certificate number ( 8 embossed characters ), last name, first name, and date of birth as they appear on the certificate. The failure of this validation with the ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs will result in the rejection of the draw registration. If there is an error on your certificate, or if you believe that it may have expired ( expiry date before 03-31-1994 ), we invite you to contact your regional office or the Direction des affaires législatives et des permis at 418 521-3895 to make the necessary corrections. • Only one registration will be accepted. For online entries, please refer to the instructions on the sepaq.com/randomdraw Web site. • All of the boxes on your form must be completed, or the form will be rejected without notice before the draw, and no refunds will be granted. • Entrants must complete boxes 180 to 185 of the entry form, since the code determines the choice of territory. How to make your payment •The $ 8 per entry registration fee ( taxes included ) is non-refundable. Payment in the form of a money order or cheque made out to Sépaq must accompany your registration. • You may include several entries with a single payment in the same envelope. However, be sure to indicate the registration form number on the back of the money order or cheque. • Any money order or cheque that contains an error or is refused by a financial institution will automatically be rejected from the draw, along with the winner’s rights. • No post-dated cheques are accepted. • In the event of an administrative error in processing your entry or during the random draw, your sole recourse as an participant will consist of the refund of your registration fee. We recommend that you keep copies of your payment vouchers as well as your form numbers. • Sépaq must receive your entries no later than May 31, 2014 at the Sales & Reservations Office address indicated on the back of the entry form. The draw will be held mid-June. Note : The Société des établissements de plein air du Québec cannot be held responsible for postal delays. Correction service Complete each section of the form carefully and accurately. However, if you inadvertently make a mistake on your entry form, we will advise you by mail on how to correct your entry, time permitting. If you receive a notice, phone us immediately at 1-900-565-7333*. * There is a service fee for this number. Please note that this number is probably not available from your cell phone or office phone. Assignment of regulated caribou hunting licences The computer selects the winners of caribou hunting licences. The ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs will send licence application forms to winners. Other draw entrants will be notified that they were not selected. Cancellations will be filled from the waiting list. Hunting licences are not transferable. Important notes • The ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs, which administers these hunting activities, reserves the right to limit, alter, or cancel certain services and activities if circumstances warrant. • Sépaq conducts the random draws for, and with the authorization of the ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs. • Sépaq draws are supervised by an independent accounting firm. • Sépaq wishes to remind all participants that completing or signing a draw entry form on behalf of another person or using another person’s name with the intention of committing fraud and without legitimate authorization may constitute a criminal act. • The indicated rates include all taxes. • The information of a regulatory nature found in this brochure is a summary provided for information purposes only.
