2017 Australian Rallycross Series – Round 1 Event Regulations
Jurisdiction:
Round 1 of the 2017 Australian Rallycross Series will be held in accordance with the RXA Series
Regulations,theRACERSEventOperatingManual&theseEventRegulations.

1. Meetingformat–eachclass
1xPracticesession–eachCompetitor’sfastestlap(excludinganyJokerlaps)willbeusedto
setthegridsforHeatraces.Heatgridswillbesetasfollows:Heat1–fastestlaponpole,2nd
fastestlap2nd&soon;Heat2–reversegrid;Heat3–top4onlyreversed.
3x4lapHeatraces–eachcompetitor’sbest2overallheattimeswillbeaveragedandused
tosetthegridfortheFinal–lowesttimeonpole,2ndlowestinP2&soon.
1x6lapfinalfor8fastestcompetitorsfromHeats

* RXA may combine classes on track depending on entries but points and awards will be

willbeallocatedforcompetitorsfromtheBFinalforSuperFinalresults.CurrentRXASeries
pointswillbepostedontheRXAwebsite.

5. Licence,Entry&signonRequirements
5.1
All competitors must hold a RACERS National Licence (link to application on RXA
website–www.rxaus.com.au)andpresentthislicenceatsignon.
5.2
Competitors who hold a current CAMS licence need only a RACERS Clubman licence
and present both at sign on. RACERS recognise the 2 licences together at the same
levelastheirNationalLicence.
5.3
Observed Licence Tests for Competitors needing them will be conducted during
Practicesessions.
5.4
Licence documentation must be completed prior to the event unless by prior
arrangementwithRXA.
5.5
Entries can be made online on the RXA website (www.rxaus.com.au). Entry fee is
$250.Whilstentriesonthedaycanbeaccepted,processingthoseentriesmaycause
delays to the program and entering prior to the event will assist in everyone’s
enjoyment.
5.6
Competitors & team members will be required to sign on including an indemnity
beforetheycancompeteatthiseventatthedesignatedareainthecafe.
5.7
Collection of Competitor wristbands will take place at sign on. Each Competitor will
needtoshowawristbandtotakepartinpracticeandracing.
5.8
To enable smooth running of the event, Competitors should proceed to sign on as
soonastheyarriveatthevenue.
6. VehicleTypesandScrutineering
6.1
Vehicles must comply with the Technical Series Regulations located on the RXA
website(www.rxaus.com.au).
6.2
EachCompetitormustcompleteaRACERSCar&EquipmentChecklistandpresentitat
signon.Thechecklistisincludedintheseregulations.
6.3
TheEventScrutineermayconductspotchecksatanytime.
7. Timing
Timing is by LD Timing. Each Competitor will be supplied with a transponder that must be
fittedusinglocktiesinalocationadvisedbytheTimekeeper.Damagetotranspondersmay
incuracosttotheCompetitor.
8. Drivers’briefing
AlldriversMUSTattendthedrivers’briefingheldattheCaféat9:30AM–therearespecific
instructions(suchasrollingstartprocedure)thatallDriversneedtobebriefedon.
9.Driver’sApparel
9.1 Helmets must comply with or exceed AS1698, SFI 41.1 or the equivalent SFI or FIA
Standards.
9.2 AHANSorFHRdevicecompliantwithSFI38.1isMANDATORY.
9.3 Fullfacehelmetsmustbeworninopencars
9.4 Drivers must wear one piece overalls that meet the requirements of SFI 3.2A or SFI
40.1.
9.5 Boots,socks,shoes,balaclavasandglovesmustbemadeofNomexorasimilarflame
protectingmaterialcomplyingwithSFI3.3orFIAequivalents
