Saturday June 10, 2017 Chiefs notch their first win of season The Chiefs have been close the past two games, dropping both games by one score each; however today was their day, as they topped the Steelers 21-7 in a total team effort. Under the direction of interim coach Martha Russell, the Chiefs found ways to make impacts on both sides of the ball, getting big plays from Ronnie Couto who dove into the endzone for a score while holding the Steelers offense to only one touchdown. The Steelers received some steady play from Zach Ford who added a touchdown grab; however the Chiefs wouldn’t be denied, as Dimitri Gargun and Josh Tiedemann added touchdowns of their own to give the Chiefs their first win of the season. With the win, the Chiefs split the season series 1-1 against the Steelers; however the Steelers maintain their grip on the third seed in the playoffs due to the tie breaker of points scored head to head (35-21). The Chiefs will take on the top seeded Dolphins on Saturday at 12:00 noon while the Steelers will face off against the second seeded Texans at 1:00pm.
