Why Join Ridgefield Girls Lacrosse?
There are many reasons you should join the lacrosse team. During the
season we spend so much time together you will start acting like
family. Also its not just your team that you get close with, all the
teams get close. Were like a tight knit family. You can also benefit
from this because its exercise and well everyone could use exercise.
Playing lacrosse could even get you a scholarship to college. There are
many positives to playing lacrosse.
What Ridgefield High School Girls Lacrosse is All About
Girls lacrosse is all about having fun doing something you love
with people who have the same passion for lacrosse. People
would really enjoy playing lacrosse because we also focus on
becoming a better, stronger person. We work on strengthening
our bodies and stick skills. The purpose of this team is to play
lacrosse but you leave with much more than that. You leave with
more friends and a good time. I strongly encourage everyone to
play lacrosse.
How to Join Ridgefield High
School Lacrosse
A student can go to the Athletic Office of their school and ask for a
form. The student needs to hand in their form before try-outs start.
There are a couple different coaches for each level so depending on
what grade your in depends on which coach you should contact. If
your playing Freshman you should contact, Heather Tibbitts at
203.968.9786. To play a sport at Ridgefield High School it cost $200
so that is due when you sign up.

Membership Requirements
To play lacrosse, the coaches ask you to attend every practice and
every game. Our home games and practices take place on the lower
grass fields at RHS. To be able to play you must maintain 2.0 or at
least pass four of your classes. Girls lacrosse has a very small amount
of equipment. All you need are goggles, mouth guard, stick and cleats.

Miscellaneous Information
If you participate in Ridgefield Girls Lacrosse we hold many fundraisers.
For example we each get to sell discount cards that cost $20 and that
money goes to RHS girls lacrosse. The cards give you a discount at tons
of Ridgefield stores. Also we play away games during the season, which
means team bus ride. After the game each player receives a Corner Deli
sandwich. A lot of the players do volunteer coaching, I for example coach
the 1-4 grade house. We teach them the basic lacrosse skills that will
prepare them for future lacrosse.
