Dear ISC Sangha:
We are sending you these regular Monday Mobo Move Updates to help keep you
informed about all the exciting developments as we begin practicing in our new
temporary center. We are also using these Updates to bring you the latest news as
construction continues on our permanent center on the Galleria’s second floor.
At the end of this week we will have been at “Mobo Dharma” for a month, and we
want to extend deep appreciation to all who have made the move go so smoothly.
Our regular schedule continues unchanged. In addition, we have a number of
workshops and other offerings on the calendar that you may find of interest. We are
at 115 South River Street next to Mobo Sushi.
Lost your glasses? A pair of brown, horn-rimmed glasses were left in the center this
week.
Updated FAQs: For information about our new temporary home, we have put
together an updated version of the Move FAQs. You can access it HERE (and it is
also available anytime through our website).
Plans for the new center: Our new, permanent location on the Galleria’s second
floor is under construction and will feature a beautiful meditation hall, a
multipurpose classroom, kitchen, library, office, and bathrooms. Below are two scale
drawings of what it will look like. The first image is the current plan, the second
image is a preliminary design showing the chairs and mats in the main meditation
hall and the multipurpose classroom. We will keep you up-to-date as the building
process continues.
Finally, our Capital Campaign to finance the new center is in full swing. Thank you in
advance for your generosity. Information on how to donate to this one-time effort is
at the end of this Update.

How to Donate to the Capital Campaign for our New Center
• Cash or check: Put your donation in the dana basket (write on the check’s memo
line or on the envelope Capital Campaign). Or, mail your donation to Insight Santa
Cruz, 740 Front St, Suite 240, Santa Cruz, CA 95060 (please note that our mailing
address is different from our address at Mobo Dharma).
• Online: Click on the button at the very top left of the ISC homepage that says
Donate (or click HERE) and follow the instructions for making a one-time or
repeating donation. The donation goes to "Vipassana Santa Cruz" (our legal name);
please add a comment that this is for the "Capital Campaign."
• Pledge a future donation: Fill out the small form in the rack between the dana
baskets at the center and leave the form in the dana basket.
