(7:30pm-10pm), Sunday (varied for matches)

West Ham United Ladies are looking for an enthusiastic, professional and inspiring
football coach to assist with delivering the Ladies’ development squad football
sessions.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide a safe and challenging learning
environment that adheres to the club wide philosophy in a professional manner.
Putting long term development over short term results is a must.
Key Responsibilities












Responsible for the continual development and application of the West Ham
United Ladies philosophy.
Ensure all individual player feedback forms are complete, relevant and
reviewed.
Responsible for planning, preparing and delivering coaching sessions in line
with the Clubs philosophy.
Responsible for assisting with match day preparation and performance within
the Clubs guidelines.
To liaise closely with the West Ham United Ladies Management Staff in
regards to player’s development through training.
Communicate regularly with Management Staff to ensure match day
preparations and team selections are in place.
Provide an environment for players that is challenging and self-regulated to
allow for continuous development.
Ensure a holistic approach is being adopted within the Club for each
individual.
Engage in the necessary CPD training workshops to further your
development.
To develop links with local leagues including junior, youth, senior, girls and
women’s football within the London and Essex region.
To support the development of West Ham United Girls Academy players
through the Ladies pathway.
To ensure that all delivery satisfies the clubs Safeguarding and Welfare
procedures.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas: Education/qualifications/experience






Have experience in Women & Girls Football - Essential
FA Level 2 – Essential
FA Youth Module 1 & 2 - Essential
FA Safeguarding Children Certificate – Essential
FA Emergency First Aid Certificate – Essential
Valid UK Driving Licence – Desirable
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities















Strong desire to develop individuals through the use of pedagogical teaching
methods.
Achieves professional standards both on and off the pitch.
Embraces the club wide philosophy by taking the responsibility to develop
themselves as a coach.
Creates a positive, professional and structured environment for both players
and parents.
To be reliable and punctual, setting a standard of professionalism.
Desire to progress self-development through open discussions.
Fully engage with every training session by creating an environment where
you question players through small sided games.
Set objectives for every session that encourages players to solve the problem
for them self.
Attend staff meetings and coaching seminars when necessary.
Demonstrate a good understanding of how to engage and connect with young
people.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication /
presentation skills.
Good organisational skills, able to prioritise and work within deadlines.
Flexible approach; able to deal with change
Knowledge of the Football Association’s programmes, including child
protection and other associated issues
