Branch Coach

Branch Coach
Overview of Role:
During 2015 and 2016 an independent review of the GUI’s High Performance (HP) System was
performed by Wharton Consulting. As a result of this review, the Board of the GUI decided to
implement a new centrally led HP System. As part of this, a HP Strategic Leadership Team (SLT)
comprising the National Coach, National Programme Manager and four Branch Leads was appointed
in May 2017. Moving forward, the SLT will be looking to align the HP activities of the GUI at
Provincial and National level. Following this development, the talent pathway will begin with panels
at Regional level spread across each Province, feeding in to a Provincial centre and on to National
panels.
