PROJECT DESRIPTION
• Declaration of project- This is a play school with additional service of providing free
education to underprivileged kids.
• Idea- the idea was to start with NGO for underprivileged kids who cannot afford
going to play school.
• Importance- most parents give their children plenty of attention in terms of looking
after their basic needs and showering them with toys to entertain them. In play
schools, however, children are provided with the 'right' toys, i.E. Those appropriate
to their stage of development. Also, their play is guided so that it becomes a
learning experience. The ideas is that children should transfer play behaviours such
as feeding a doll, changing its clothes, etc. To themselves, and thus develop selfhelp skills.
• Objectives- focus on developing children’s existing skills by building their
knowledge using their interests, giving them opportunities to engage in playing,
sharing, learning and working together.
• People and organisation involved- Ngo will be involved with us to provide free
education and facilities to underprivileged kids.
• Challenges- there are already so many schools with elementary education.
Challenge will be how to provide same education with health benefits and different
design theme.
Why?
Always wanted to build something for roadside or deprived kids. It is
necessary to give them a platform to succeed in the future by providing
basic education. But as a design project it was difficult to give design
element to a NGO. So thought of building a play school and instead of
day care providing same facilities to those needful kids.

Target Audience
Educational spend is one of the largest item of household expenditure for Indian
MIDDLE CLASS families high propensity to spend on education Impact.
Education is the second highest expenditure segment for middle class households.
Parents are realizing the importance of engaging young children in activities that enhance
their emotional and intellectual growth.
Increasing competition and difficulty in getting admissions in K12 also encourage parents
to send their children to play schools to prepare them to face the interviews for K12
admission.
Site analysis

Interior And Exterior
Experiential narrative
My inspiration for the school will be nature and my theme will be RUSTIC POP.
Red oxide flooring will be used due to some technically proven factor. Red
oxide is used in south India because it keeps the floor smooth and cool and it
is suitable for kids.
Due to more traffic in the afternoon, minimum furniture will be used.
School will be designed keeping in mind that more students will come in the
afternoon.
• You may never have noticed this, but shoes actually change the shape of our
feet over the course of our lives. –
• When we’re barefoot, we naturally walk more gently, with a shorter stride,
putting less pressure on our heels. Our knees bend to cushion the shock of
each step. Our toes grip the floor and help propel us forward.
Our main concept is not only to provide elementary education but give
physical strength.
