Community Golf Coach
Make your mark in Junior Golf
Looking at getting more involved in junior golf at your
facility? Want to help your PGA of Canada professional
with his or her Junior Golf Programming?
This workshop is designed for the Community Golf
Coach who is, or would like to, work with children or
youth and is introducing the basic skills of golf. The
goal is to help prepare YOU to be competent in the
skills required by a community coach.
What to Expect:
Great debates, learning from your peers, and a PGA of Canada Class “A”
Learning Facilitator. Interactive breakout sessions, a half-day outdoors,
putting classroom work into practice for you to bring back to your facility.
2DAYS
TRAINING INCLUDES AREAS SUCH AS:
• Helping kids hit the ball higher, further and go in the hole quicker
• Learning and practicing designing fun, dynamic and effective practices and activities
• Keeping kids safe and ensure they are learning the critical life skills golf offers
• A large portion of the training is applied, hands-on and outdoors!

Why Community Golf Coach?
A Community Golf Coach who has better depth in his or her skills
when working with youth and children can greatly benefit a CN
Future Links program. The workshop is an ideal opportunity
for you, the coach, to reflect on your current understanding of
children, junior golf, and the environment children participate in.
Community golf coaches have the opportunity to have an impact
on the lives of children being introduced to golf in Canada.
Who?
The Community Golf Coach may already help or volunteer at
their local golf club or even assist with a PGA Professional
with an emphasis on some of the following individuals: Lead
volunteers? Parents? Club members? PGA members (CFM)?
